State Apiarist Monthly Videos and Notes
The Kentucky State Apiarist Dr. Amanda Skidmore hosts a monthly video conference with beekeepers where she provides education and updates. This education is available to KSBA members.
Each year, KSBA hosts a Fall conference. The videos from past conferences are available to KSBA members.
Beginner Beekeeping Courses with Phil Craft - 2021/2022First year beekeepers will acquire basic knowledge to purchase equipment and honey bees. There are 6 courses, each about 1 hour long. By the end of the course, the student should be well prepared to keep their colony healthy and strong through winter. This education is available to KSBA members.
Intermediate Beekeeping Courses with Phil Craft - 2022
Courses are designed around intermediate and advanced topics. There are 9 courses, each about 1 hour long. The courses cover a variety of topics such as varroa mite integrated pest management, swarming, wax moths, small hive beetles and more. This education is available to KSBA members.
Phil's Observations and Advice
Phil Craft hosts a conversation with Kentucky beekeepers on best practices acquired as the Kentucky State Apiarist and a lifelong beekeeper. This education is available to the public.
